School & Holidays (part 2)

Holidays is always the highlight of any student/teacher. It is the time of relaxing after a long..long year of studying/teaching/working. Sometimes it is funny when everyone is waiting for holidays but down the road of holidaying, there is that phrase of "I'm bored!". That's the funny thing, people wait for the holidays, but at times they miss working/studying/teaching. I know, because I tend to be one of them as well. There's no need for too long of holidays or too long of working. It's just has it's own balance for each and everyone of us. That's human nature.

After teaching, I further my studies. Not so far, but just behind my backyard, Curtin University of Technology, Sarawak Campus. It has been fun here, challenging but fun. There's always enjoyment in everything you do when you yourself enjoy what you do. Throughout the semester, I've been through the real deal of being a university student. It has been a challenging time but interesting experience to adapt to the growing time of age.

Now, being in the Student Council as the Secretary, it's been an addition to my daily duties. It has been well with the new line up of Student Council members. I hope that this will be a great journey not only for me but for all the members. The Student Council have been busy preparing with a few upcoming programmes for IEP (Intensive English Program) orientations, Degree and Foundation orientations and others on our agenda. It's better to plan ahead to accomodate any uncertainties along the way.

The end of the year is just around the corner and the new year is coming out soon. Holidays have been a great start with finishing any paper works or cleaning up the room or any unfinished business (not the mob business).

Well, it has been a great time while studying, teaching and holidaying and it will always be a great time to enjoy every moment of it with loved ones.

School & Holidays (part 1)

The holidays have started for me, but is it really the holidays? Maybe yes, maybe not. What to do? Hmm...so far, I've been busy with hanging out in the Student Council room, to sit back, checking mails, relax and enjoy the air-con. It's been a year for this year. Hmm...let's see...

First half of the year I've been teaching in my previous school, SMK Lutong. For half a year I was there. Basically, I was involve in teaching, sports, and others. It's been an interesting experience to see how teachers work. They really do work hard. Different from what students assume when they enter the school gates. They see teachers who just come in class, teaches and then exit the class. There are different types of teachers that students' eyes see.
There's Top 10:

  1. Teachers who are easy to bully by students
  2. Teachers who are easy to talk with
  3. Teachers who are tough
  4. Teachers who are afraid to be with or even walk pass
  5. Teachers who are quiet
  6. Teachers who are pretty/handsome etc...
  7. Teachers who are lively in class
  8. Teachers who are fill with 'bling-bling'
  9. Teachers who are 'smileys'
  10. Teachers who are committed

For Students Top 10:

  1. Students who are quiet
  2. Students who are lively in class
  3. Students who are fill with 'bling-bling'
  4. Students who are easy to talk with
  5. Students who are pretty/handsome etc...
  6. Students who are being bullied by other students
  7. Students who are the bully
  8. Students who are 'smileys'
  9. Students who are busy
  10. Students who are committed

Hmm...that's the beauty of being school. One of my teacher ever told us that, when we learn literature, we forget the characteristics of the characters we learn in class but we are quick to find the characteristics of teachers in just a few days. Isn't that ironic?

When I was teaching, I've met different characters of students and the wonder of adapting your teaching skills to the students character is kind of a challenge.

Just another day

This week has been silent, because the days of holidays are on and students aren't really hanging around here on campus for long. Exams over and it's holidaysss..but I'm here with my friend, Iqbal, in the Student Council room doing...not the 'tut' (you dirty mind!), but we're just hanging around here enjoying the air-con, computer, music, sofa, the comfort of the Student Council room.

A few more weeks before results' out and in the mean time, it's time to "Yeah!". This few days it has been raining. It's a beautiful day, somehow.

I'm waiting for my old classmate to come back to hang out with. It's been awhile since we last met, really been awhile. Probably, 10 years...

Oh, yeah, Aylwin's here as well. He's into chocolates, like everyone else. Who doesn't? But certain people do really. Hmm...

Enjoy your day!
